Amber Burger

Hi, my name is Amber Burger. I am a branch manager senior at Commerce Bank, and I've been here for 16 years.

When I began college, I was actually working for another bank and my coworker there decided to leave and go to Commerce Bank, and she told me how wonderful Commerce was and that also they offered tuition reimbursement. At the time, tuition reimbursement was a really big deal for me, and they happened to have an open position, so I applied and got the job.

As a branch manager, I oversee the branch. I have a wonderful team that I coach every day. My favorite part of coaching is developing my team. It seems like a lot of people come into Commerce Bank and they think of it just as a job, and it's been great to develop them and to find out what they're passionate about and find opportunities to help make it a career.

It's very true that I get to work with some of my best friends and they're so funny. No day is the same, and they definitely keep me on my toes. Because it doesn't matter who you are, your background, where you've been in life, you're always welcomed at Commerce Bank.

I would encourage somebody to apply because Commerce Bank really wants to make sure that you're happy. There's so many positions available for you and so many different avenues that they can put you in.
