Hi, my name is Taylor Hillenburg. I am the Branch Manager at Commerce Bank, located
in Bolivar, Missouri. I have been with Commerce Bank for eight years.
I actually fell into it. My personal finance teacher told me in high school, "If you want off on holidays, and you don't have to work weekends, go work at a bank." So, when I was 18, I started at the bank I was banking at. I fell into it.
Actually, I'm the luckiest person in the world because I fell into something I love. Everyone here is so genuine and fun. And the culture, it's not only helped me be a better person personally, but professionally, as well. I've reached and done things I never thought I could do, things that I didn't think were possible, and Commerce made it possible. I love Commerce because they saw potential in me when I didn't.
I want to be the best at everything I do now. I give 110%. I absolutely love helping my employees hit a goal that they've set there for themselves, whether it be a tiny goal or a promotional goal. And I absolutely love being able to help families solve problems that they didn't even know they had. I can think of a handful of customers that I helped when they graduated college, and then they got their boyfriend, and then they got married, and then they had kids, and then they bought their house. And here, eight years later, they have little five-year-old Johnny running around, and I got to see that happen.
If somebody asked me if they should work at Commerce, I would say you should have already submitted your application. A hundred percent. I don't know where I'd be if it wasn't for Commerce today. I don't think I would be the woman that I've become today without Commerce, and I owe them a lot. They've done a lot for me, and I just wish other people could see everything they've done for me.
