Hi, I'm Eddy Rosas. I'm a Business Banking Portfolio Manager II. I had a
friend who worked at Commerce, and he referred me. I read about the company,
heard great things, decided to make the move. Once I finally joined the team, I
realized everything I heard and read was true. It's a great company. Seven years
now and counting!
When I was looking for a company to work for, I was searching for one with
great culture, one that would allow me to bring my authentic self to work and I
feel that Commerce allows that. I think coming into Commerce, I had no idea the
different avenues that you can get in banking. Everyone thinks you come in,
you'll be a personal banker, and you'll do that, and maybe you'll be a
branch manager someday. There are just so many different avenues that you
can take, whether that's in commercial or IT or audit or fraud. There's so
many different career paths that people don't really think about.
Commerce has allowed me the opportunity to develop professionally. They've
given me so many different opportunities for me to expand my knowledge. I
feel like I can go to anybody. My direct manager's manager, my manager - I feel
like I can talk to them and be fine. We're all very close. We're all working
towards something and that environments alone I think is what's so
rewarding.
