Hi, I'm Jackie Loya-Torres. I am the manager for CRA and community
development here at Commerce Bank. I joined the bank in January of 2015. My
background is not at all in banking, so my arrival at Commerce Bank was really
just by pure happenstance. Once I stepped in the door and went through the
interview process, I knew it would be a good fit for me. And it has been. I've
been a Commerce Bank customer for 30 plus years and it always has been a good, supportive place for me to feel confident and safe about my money and how I manage my money. My personal experience enables me to tell that story as a customer in community. And that is my job! I help the communities in which we do business feel that Commerce is a good citizen, a good corporate citizen, and a good safe partner for their financial journeys.
Commerce is very committed to the communities in which we do business, and
that has always been very obvious to me. When I can match my personal values
with my professional values, that's a win in my book. I believe really firmly that
Commerce Bank wants all of its employees to succeed and to see what's on the
horizon for them within the bank. We have an incredible record of long tenure here at Commerce. When I walked in the door during my interview, I was really intrigued by the idea that so many people I met had 15, 20, 30 years of tenure here. That told me they're doing something right. And for people like me who are a little risk averse in my career and want to find a home in my job, Commerce met that need for me.
