Hi, I'm Tavia Henderson. I'm a Team Lead in CONNECT Banking. 

I chose to work at Commerce Bank because I saw a strong opportunity for professional growth and development. I was looking for a place where I could build on the skills, I already had like customer service, communication, and problem-solving—while also being challenged to expand my capabilities in new areas such as financial services.

What I like most about working at Commerce is the culture of course! I always feel supported, included, and driven by a strong sense of purpose.

A huge part of what makes Commerce rewarding for me is being involved in our Employee Resource Groups. Being part of these communities makes me feel seen and valued beyond my job title. It's empowering to connect with others, share experiences, and contribute to initiatives that make our workplace even more inclusive. It reinforces that my voice matters and that I belong here.

The biggest and most pleasant surprise working at Commerce has been being part of the team that helped build and shape the Commerce CONNECT mobile messaging brand. It’s been incredibly rewarding to watch it grow from an idea into a real, valuable tool for how we connect with our customers and knowing I had a hand in that has been really motivating.

What would I tell someone who is considering Commerce as an emloyer? I would say go for it! Commerce Bank is a great place to grow personally and professionally.
